Displays
Vacuum Coating Equipment & Expertise

All electronic displays known today are based on a sandwich structure of numerous functional layers. The spectrum ranges from image-generating elements to the final cover glass, which often includes touch function, anti-reflection coating and dirt repellency.

The requirements for the quality of these layers can only be met by sophisticated thin-film processes that take place in a vacuum. Examples of these processes are physical vapor deposition (PVD) and chemical vapor deposition (CVD).

In consumer electronics, products change in ever shorter cycles. However, very high expectations are placed on the service life of displays that are permanently installed in vehicles. They are often expected to function for more than 10 years.

VON ARDENNE has specialized in meeting both requirements. We offer our customers coating systems with high productivity, excellent and consistent coating uniformity as well as system design tailored to their needs.
